GSK promotes Panadol packaging redesign with TV campaign
GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) is promoting the redesigned packaging of its two types of paracetamol-containing Panadol tablets for pain relief through a TV campaign.
The “contemporary” packaging will help customers distinguish the brand and poses a “lucrative sales opportunity” for pharmacists, GSK said.
Running from October until December, the TV campaign is accompanied by £1 million of online advertising.
Panadol Advance and Panadol Extra Advance use technology that speeds up the breakdown of the tablets in the stomach for “fast and more effective pain relief than standard paracetamol”, GSK said.
One pack of 16 Panadol Advance tablets retails at £1.65, while one pack of 14 Panadol Extra Advance tablets retails at £2.89.
