HRA Pharma launches ellaOne social media campaign
HRA Pharma has launched Facebook and Twitter accounts dedicated to its emergency contraception pill, ellaOne.
The social media accounts – which went live in March – aim to “break down the stigma around emergency contraception” and “inform women about the options available to them”, the manufacturer said.
HRA Pharma hopes to encourage discussion on its Facebook page, and will host short Twitter polls on "varying topics", it said.
The manufacturer also created a digital film – first posted on the accounts on May 23 – which “demonstrates how to make the process of obtaining emergency contraception as smooth as possible".
Commenting on the social media campaign, Clare Newins, marketing manager at HRA Pharma, said: “We hope this provides women with a place where they can engage with one another and recognise that emergency contraception is a responsible option that is needed for a variety of reasons.”
