I Love My Pharmacist: 6 regional winners revealed
"Thousands" of people voted for their favourite regional finalist in the RPS competition, it says
The Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) has revealed the six regional winners of its competition to find the Britain’s best-loved pharmacist.
One winner was chosen by the public from a shortlist of three finalists in each of six regions (see below), the RPS announced today (October 13).
RPS president Ash Soni told C+D that this year’s competition – which launched in June with C+D as its only media partner – “exceeded our expectations”.
“Thousands” voted for their favourite finalist, with the 18 regional winners featuring in newspaper articles and being interviewed by local radio station and TV stations, Mr Soni said.
Each of the regional winners will be interviewed by a panel of judges, including last year’s winner Reena Barai and C+D editor Jennifer Richardson. A national winner will be selected by the judges and announced on November 3.
Ms Richardson said: "It's brilliant to see that the public have joined us in celebrating pharmacists. I look forward to meeting our regional winners and hearing about their work in more detail."
