The all-party pharmacy group (APPG) is asking for questions from the public to be put to a panel discussion focusing on the role pharmacy could play in healthcare provision.
The debate, due to be held on July 16, will involve shadow health secretary Andy Burnham MP, health committee chair Stephen Dorrell MP and Liberal Democrat peer Lord Clement-Jones.
APPG chairman Kevin Barron MP, who will host the discussion, said he was delighted the public would be involved. "Community pharmacists serve the public each and every day, and it's therefore right that the public be able to submit questions about the future role of pharmacy," he said.

Mr Barron stressed that the event aims to develop the long-running discussion on how pharmacy could extend its "incredibly important" role. "This discussion will provide a great opportunity to explore what pharmacy's role might look like in future and I'm delighted that we've got such a high-calibre panel," he said. |
Panel member Mr Burnham challenged pharmacy to come up with models of care in which pharmacy played a bigger role at a meeting with pharmacy representatives in parliament last month.
Members of the public can submit questions for the panel through the APPG website. Submit your question here.
