GSK launches larger 204-lozenge packs of Nicotinell
Smoking cessation brand Nicotinell is launching a larger pack of its nicotine lozenges.
The lozenges – now available in packs of 204 – can be purchased in nicotine strengths of 1mg or 2mg across “icemint”, mint, fruit, and liquorice flavours, manufacturer GlaxoSmithKline said.
“Light smokers” should use the 1mg strength, while patients smoking 20-30 cigarettes a day should purchase 2mg, it recommended.
Their launch will be supported by an online campaign, including display banners, and videos on social media featuring stories of smoking quitters, the manufacturer added.
“This launch offers shoppers more choice,” said Nicotinell senior brand manager Jingxuan Zhuang. “Pharmacists continue to play a crucial role in advising shoppers about nicotine replacement therapy.”
A pack of 204 1mg-strength lozenges retails for £20.00, while 2mg is £23.40.
