NiQuitin rolls out new gum supported by £2.2m campaign

Perrigo has added Extra Fresh Mint gum to its NiQuitin range, supported by a £2.2 million media campaign.

The gum was launched in Boots stores in August, but will be rolled out across other pharmacies throughout September and October, Perrigo said.

The campaign will coincide with Public Health England’s Stoptober initiative, and includes "mass sampling" and pharmacy training.

As part of the campaign, NiQuitin has launched a "special build" on Tottenham Court Road, central London. This includes an 'extra fresh' bus shelter, which will release a "mint burst" until October 8.

Promotional activities will continue into 2018 in line with the 'new year, new you' philosophy, Perrigo added.

Each piece of Extra Fresh Mint gum contains "50 to 60 layers" of coating to “help ensure a high level of nicotine masking”, the manufacturer said.

Holly Turner, senior marketing director at Perrigo, said this “exciting new product” puts the needs of its customers first and “provides solutions they are looking for”.

The NiQuitin range includes:
