Launched this month (February 1), Medimat helps contractors to process a larger volume of prescriptions with greater accuracy than manual dispensing, Omnicell said.
By automating tasks such as unpacking medication, stock management and searching for medication, Medimat frees up the time of pharmacy teams while reduces dispensing errors, the manufacturer continued.
The features of the robot, which is available in different sizes and colours, include the ability to manage large medicine packs, Omnicell said.
