Perrigo encourages smokers to quit in new year with NiQuitin campaign

Perrigo will encourage smokers to quit in the new year with a £1.3 million campaign for NiQuitin.

The New Year, New You campaign – which will run from January 1 until February 28 – includes advertising on TV, in public spaces and online, Perrigo said.

The TV advert will feature a patient called Christina who quit smoking using NiQuitin patches and mini-lozenges, Perrigo added.

Perrigo will also launch a 10-week digital support plan for smokers, via the ‘NiQuitin chat bot’, which will provide motivating messages and information on nicotine replacement products.

Senior marketing director Holly Turner said: “The new year is the biggest entry point for patients to start quitting.

“Pharmacies play a very important role for smokers that are planning on quitting, in providing advice and support,” Ms Turner added.
