The cream, which is available in community pharmacies “from August”, has a “dual action” that moisturises dry skin while helping “to prevent the relapse of eczema”, Perrigo said.

The product awareness campaign began in July and adverts will appear from September to mid-November, the manufacturer said.

The campaign also includes a “sampling and education roadshow” that begins on August 17, it added.

Laure de Brauer, head of marketing for Perrigo’s ‘get well’ brands, said the cream “really bridges the gap between the treatment of dry skin and eczema, even helping to prevent eczema flare-ups”.
