Pfizer has launched an online portal for its dispensing customers, to give pharmacists up-to-date information on their accounts, stock availability and access to training materials.

The portal, called Access Pfizer for Professionals, will replace the Pfizer DTP website and has been developed using feedback from a survey of 200 pharmacists.

A "supporting professional development" section of the portal provides training materials from more than 20 Pfizer training workshops, with CPD elements and therapy area-specific training modules also on offer.

Other features of the portal include materials to help pharmacists get the most out of their interactions with patients, for example through the new medicines service (NMS) consultations.

"The portal offers constant and immediate access to information relevant to our customers' commercial and professional needs – from key stock and account information to staff training, patient engagement resources and disease area data," said Paul Wilson, Pfizer commercial account director.

"We believe that customers can truly enhance the commercial value of their business through using this portal, as well as allowing them to use their time more efficiently," he said.

The portal can be accessed at www.accesspfizer.co.uk, and Pfizer will contact customers over the coming weeks to provide them with personal log-in details.
