Pharmacy2U partners with medical travel insurance provider

Pharmacy2U's superintendent pharmacist Phil Day will become Just Travel Cover's brand ambassador.

Pharmacy2U has partnered with medical travel insurance provider Just Travel Cover to offer “guidance and support” for travellers with medical conditions, it has announced.

The partnership will see Phil Day, superintendent pharmacist at Pharmacy2U, become the “medical consultant and brand ambassador” for Just Travel Cover, the online pharmacy announced earlier this week (October 20).

Mr Day will contribute to the insurance broker’s website with a “series of guides” to provide “help and support for those with medical conditions,” and will also answer questions about “travelling with health conditions including diabetes, heart conditions and cancer”.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr Day said he is “delighted” to be working with Just Travel Cover, adding that “getting appropriate medical travel insurance” is  “vital ” to  patients with medical conditions still being able to enjoy their holidays.

Dale Robinson, marketing manager at Just Travel Cover, said the business has been “working with Pharmacy2U for some time”, drawing on its “expert knowledge and guidance” for customers living with medical conditions.

Just Travel Cover hopes that by “providing people with reliable, trustworthy and credible information about travelling with pre-existing conditions they can make smart decisions before their holiday and during it,” Mr Robinson added.

What do you make of the partnership?

Greatly Pedantic and Highly Clueless, Senior Management

Makes good business sense. Flogging travel insurance at a time when older people with long term conditions are too scared to go abroad or even leave their house. Still, it should fill his day.

Margaret O'doherty, Community pharmacist

Will they be selling data to enable the insurance company to target those with the least risk?

Bob Dunkley, Locum pharmacist

He he he !!

Ben Merriman, Community pharmacist

Just think of all the Australian lottery tickets they could sell to those going Down Under!
