PharmaDoctor launches 'enhanced' CPCS 'clinic' package
PharmaDoctor has launched a new offer aimed at pharmacies providing the Community Pharmacy Consultation Service (CPCS).
The Enhanced CPCS Clinic Package, which costs £299 per year per pharmacy, includes access to a bundle of PharmaDoctor’s other service offerings.
Through patient group directions included in the package, pharmacists can offer 38 prescription-only medicines (POMs) for treating conditions such as ear infections, urinary tract infections, Streptococcus group A and back pain, PharmaDoctor said.
“Our CPCS package supports pharmacists to offer more than advice and OTC treatments,” PharmaDoctor added.
More than 10,000 pharmacies have signed up to provide the CPCS since it launched on October 29. Pharmacies receive £14 for each consultation they complete following an NHS 111 referral for minor illnesses and urgent medicines supply.
