PharmaDoctor launches free flu jab decision tool

PharmaDoctor is offering a free electronic tool to guide pharmacists through the flu jab service.

The Flu eTool package identifies the most appropriate brand of vaccine for each patient “with 100% accuracy”, PharmaDoctor claimed. It was made available for pre-order on Monday (April 15) before it goes live in August.

"In recent years, running a pharmacy flu jab clinic has become significantly more complicated," PharmaDoctor said.

“Pharmacists need to stock multiple flu jab brands and make on-the-spot decisions about which one to administer.”

The online platform – which usually costs £39 – includes an integrated patient group direction to authorise pharmacists to administer all vaccination brands, and comes with digital marketing support to help increase vaccine uptake.

“The pharmacists we support have been incredibly loyal over the last 10 years,” said Joaquim Pereira, PharmaDoctor digital director. “To show our appreciation we want to give something back.”

To pre-order the Flu eTool package visit the PharmaDoctor website.
