PharmaDoctor launches free weight-loss package for pharmacies
PharmaDoctor has launched a free weight-loss service package for pharmacies that includes a patient group direction (PGD), an online consultation platform and marketing support.
The service, which normally costs £250, has the potential to make pharmacies thousands of pounds in revenue, PharmaDoctor claimed.
The package includes an online platform to guide pharmacists step-by-step through a patient weight loss consultation, PharmaDoctor said.
The platform can connect with a patient’s FitBit or Google fitness tracker so a pharmacist can monitor a patient’s progress, the company said.
The package also comes with a one-year online PGD that authorises pharmacists to privately dispense Mysimba weight management tablets, which contain naltrexone hydrochloride and bupropion hydrochloride.
PharmaDoctor will market the pharmacy service nationally with a digital campaign, it said.
