An online platform launching this summer on Lime’s website will enable patients to book and pay for PharmaDoctor services available at their local community pharmacy, the companies announced last week (March 18).

Patients will be able to select from 60 clinical services, such as flu vaccinations, and book an appointment at one of 8,000 pharmacies working with PharmaDoctor.

PharmaDoctor and Lime say they hope their partnership will make it easier for people to access services and raise awareness of them, increasing footfall to pharmacies.

PharmaDoctor CEO Graham Thoms said the new booking system will allow patients to check “what’s available at their local pharmacies and then book a convenient appointment within minutes”.

“This will not only help people to get access to the services they need but also support community pharmacies on our high streets,” he added.

Christopher Alcock, managing director of Weldricks Pharmacy, which has 59 pharmacies based in South Yorkshire, said: “We are delighted to support this new scheme and will be ready to welcome Lime’s customers for their flu jabs this coming autumn together with a wider range of clinical services throughout 2021 and beyond.”
