RPSGB sets extra targets for member services

The RPSGB has outlined 22 extra commitments to the pharmacy profession and says it will meet them in 100 days time, in April.

The RPSGB's  targets include extending local practice forums, launching a new information, advice and support service for pharmacists and conducting quarterly surveys to get member feedback.

The plans add to the commitments previously launched to give members a taste of the new professional leadership body.

RPSGB president Steve Churton said 2010 was an “exciting and critical year for pharmacy”.

Mr Churton said the national pharmacy boards, which are in the process of being elected, would be responsible for further developing and delivering the professional body’s strategy.

The formation of the local practice forums, which will be local hubs for the body, would help provide mechanisms to increase member engagement and involvement in the professional body, Mr Churton added.
