Sanofi launches BuscoMint capsules for irritable bowel syndrome
Manufacturer Sanofi has launched BuscoMint Peppermint Oil 0.2ml capsules for treating irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Released in October, the gastro-resistant capsules provide relief from abdominal discomfort such as bloating or cramps, especially in people suffering from IBS, the manufacturer said.
Each capsule contains 0.2ml of peppermint oil, equivalent to around 67 cups of peppermint tea, as well as hyoscine butylbromide, Sanofi said.
Sanofi has partnered with health app Cara Care, which gives patients techniques for easing their gastrointestinal issues, to mark the launch of BuscoMint.
Sanofi said: “The Cara Care app can help to track symptoms and aid condition understanding. BuscoMint can be used in combination with a healthy lifestyle to treat symptoms.”
One 24-capsule pack of BuscoMint Peppermint Oil 0.2ml retails at £6.99.
