Send us your stock shortages evidence - deadline extended

Make sure you give us the evidence to prove Earl Howe wrong. Use our resources to tell us what’s happening in your pharmacy

C+D is extending the deadline for evidence of stock shortages by two weeks, following a flurry of photos showing support for our campaign for the government to recognise patient harm.

C+D readers have submitted photos of themselves holding up our Sort out Stocks campaign posters, which we will be submitting to the government as part of our dossier of evidence to prove that shortages are affecting pharmacists and harming patients.

Pharmacies across the UK have reported nearly 140 cases of supply problems and incidents of patient distress since C+D's interactive tool was launched in August.

Pharmacists hit back at Howe's call for       proof of harm from shortages

We are now giving you until October 25 to continue providing us with your evidence to present to pharmacy minister Earl Howe, in response to his calls in August for pharmacists to prove stock shortages are harming patients.

As well as the interactive tool, we are collecting evidence through a range of downloadable tools for you to print out and display in your pharmacy. There is a form that you can encourage your patients to complete when they are told that their medicine is out of stock, and then return to us.

There is also a poster that you can hang in your pharmacy window to show your support for our Sort Out Stocks campaign. Please send us photos of you or your staff holding the poster.

C+D will then take your evidence to the government to help show the reality of the problem on the ground, for you and your patients, to urge it into action.

Make sure you provide us with the evidence to prove Earl Howe wrong. Use our resources to tell us about stock shortages in your pharmacy by October 25
