Spa break up for grabs in I Love My Pharmacist competition
The initiative to find the "unsung heroes" of pharmacy returns for a third year
Pharmacists have the chance to win a luxury spa break for two as part of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s (RPS) search for the sector's "unsung heroes".
The third annual I Love My Pharmacist competition launched yesterday (April 18) and aims to find individuals who “aren’t looking for accolades, but deserve recognition”, the RPS said.
The national winner of the competition will receive a “fabulous” spa break, courtesy of Hearst Magazines UK, it said.
Patients and the public have until May 2 to nominate their favourite pharmacist, and pharmacists can enter themselves until May 16 by visiting the competition’s website and describing the biggest impact they or their team have had on patient care.
The competition’s judging panel will whittle the entries down to a maximum of four regional finalists from each of six areas across Britain, who will then face a public vote between June 6 and July 18. The competition’s judging panel will pick a national winner from the six regional winners, the RPS said.
The regional winners will receive £250 in high street vouchers, while the 24 regional finalists will receive a year’s free digital magazine subscription of their choice from Hearst Magazines UK.
Hosptal pharmacist Emily Rose won last year's competition for her "groundbreaking" treatment pathway for arthritis patients.
