Three arrested: 'lethal' drugs stolen from Welsh pharmacy
South Wales Police are concerned about MST tablets that remain unaccounted for after the raid on Sheppards Pharmacy in Ferndale, Rhondda
Three people have been arrested in connection with the theft of "potentially lethal" drugs from a Welsh pharmacy. Burglars smashed the front door of Sheppards Pharmacy in Ferndale, Rhondda in the early hours of last Friday (October 17), South Wales Police said. Two men aged 47 and 37 and a 25-year-old woman were arrested the following day after a tip-off from a member of the public, police said on Tuesday (October 21). Although police had recovered a "significant amout" of the drugs, they were concerned that morphine sulphate tablets (MST) were still "unnaccounted for". Police officers suspected the tablets would be sold on and urged the public not to take them because they could "easily kill". The three suspects were released on bail on Tuesday (October 21), police added. South Wales Police urged anyone with information relating to the incident to contact them immediately by calling 101, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
