Tramadol capsules recalled over fungal fears
Manufacturer RelonChem is urging pharmacists to quarantine cartons of its 50mg capsules due to a risk of contamination
Manufacturer RelonChem has recalled all unexpired batches of tramadol due to a risk of “fungal contamination”, the MHRA has said.
The medicines watchdog yesterday (May 6) urged pharmacists to quarantine any remaining stock of 30 or 100 tramadol 50mg capsules - which appear in RelonChem or Kent Pharmaceuticals livery - and return it to the appropriate manufacturer for credit.
For enquiries about RelonChem stock, pharmacists should contact 0151 556 1860 or [email protected]. For stock enquiries about Kent Pharmaceuticals products, they should call 0845 437 5565, the MHRA added.
For medical enquiries about Tramadol, pharmacists should email [email protected].
