Triple awards nominations success for C+D
C+D has been shortlisted for three prestigious journalism awards - Editor of the Year, Editorial Team 2014 and Best Original Digital Feature Idea
C+D has been shortlisted for three prestigious journalism awards.
Jennifer Richardson made the shortlist for the Professional Publishers Association's (PPA) award for Editor of the Year, while the C+D team was shortlisted for the Association of Online Publishers' (AOP) award for Editorial Team 2014.
C+D's interactive Pharmacy50 app, which allowed readers to vote on the most influential figures in the sector, was shortlisted by the British Society of Magazine Editors (BSME) for Best Original Digital Feature Idea at its Rising Stars awards.
C+D brand director Gary Paragpuri said the nominations were an honour for the whole team.
"This is not just a recognition of the quality of C+D's journalism, it's also a reflection of the contribution our readers make to our reporting - whether that's helping with our investigations, giving us a tip off or voting in the hugely popular Pharmacy50," he said.
"It does the sector no harm for their trade title to be competing on a par with the national broadsheets, so fingers crossed we can turn some of these fabulous shortlistings into wins," he added.
The BSME Rising Stars will be announced in June. The AOPs and the PPAs will be announced the following month.
The news follows a double win for the C+D team in March, when the then news editor Gemma Collins and the then reporter (now news editor) James Waldron were highly commended at the PPA New Talent awards.
