absolute joke. Do they not understand you cannot agree on prices on the last day of the month?
The PSNC explained to me the reason for late agreement of prices for some items was to ensure they get sufficient data to negociate the best price possible.
I argued that prices need to be agreed earlier to give contractors some sort of stability and knowledge of what remuneration they can expect. A better system in my view would be to agree all NCSOs by say, the 20th of each month. Then if prices go up or down towards the end of the month that can be reflected in next months NCSOs. So in effect the NCSO month would run from 20th-20th. This might sound like a silly or unworkable solution and I'm happy for someone to explain any impracticalities, but something needs to change.
