Well completes Co-operative rebranding
A branch in south Wales will on Thursday be the last to relaunch under the Well brand
The last remaining Co-operative Pharmacy branch will be relaunched under the Well brand on Thursday (October 29), the multiple has announced.
Well has already rebranded its other 779 pharmacies in the nine months since it told C+D that this was a priority for the business. The relaunch of the final store in Hirwaun, south Wales, will be the “culmination of the [Well] team’s hard work”, it said.
As part of the pharmacy’s relaunch, Well will highlight the work of a local Macmillan Cancer “hero”, and award a cheque to the town’s primary school for new health and fitness equipment, it added.
In February, the company revealed that it had earmarked £20 million to rebrand the pharmacies, which were bought by Well owner Bestway last year.
Well has since unveiled the UK’s first on-campus working pharmacy, as part of the multiple’s plans to expand the business over the next five years.
