Rennie launches liquid heartburn product with £1m advertising campain
Rennie has launched a new liquid treatment for heartburn with a £1.1 million advertising campaign.
Rennie Liquid Heartburn Relief – which launched this month – contains the active ingredient sodium alginate and “is designed to specifically address heartburn symptoms”, manufacturer Bayer said.
The liquid forms a “protective layer on the stomach contents to prevent stomach acids escaping into the oesophagus, where it causes pain and discomfort”, Bayer added.
The mint-flavoured sugar-free liquid can be taken at any time and is suitable for pregnant and breast-feeding patients, the manufacturer said.
The associated awareness campaign includes adverts on TV and online.
Rennie Liquid Heartburn Relief retails at £3.99 for 150ml and £5.49 for 250ml.
