Reckitt Benckiser (RB) has launched eight new Nurofen products to combat joint and back pain.

The Nurofen Joint & Back Pain Relief range – which includes topical gels, heat patches, capsules and tablets – will be rolled out to pharmacies between February and April.

The products offer up to eight hours of pain relief in one dose, the manufacturer claimed. The launch will be supported by a £4 million TV advertising campaign from April until August, RB said.

There will also be a consumer PR campaign targeting 45 to 55-year-olds, it added. 

Nurofen marketing director Silvina Vilas said the range will make it clear to customers “they can effectively tackle pain with product[s] in different formats and strengths”.

Prices range from £3.56 for 16 256mg tablets to £8.99 for 24 512mg tablets.
