Alphega Pharmacy UK has launched a diabetes risk awareness service ‘in a box', enabling members to identify customers at risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

The service includes training and marketing materials, along with Bayer Healthcare equipment enabling pharmacists to measure patients' average blood sugar levels from the previous two to three months. Further support materials include leaflets, SOPs, a GP referral letter and a performance tracker.

The service, also available as a Welsh language version, is available to full members of Alphega as part of their membership. Other members can purchase the pack by contacting member support.
