Boots launches three-for-two on entire healthcare range
Multiples Boots has launched a three-for-two offer on all healthcare products, including all GSL and pharmacy-only medicines.
Boots has launched a three-for-two promotion on its entire healthcare range, including P medicines, which the health and beauty giant claims will "bring to life the wide choice of products available" to customers.
The offer, which will hit stores today (September 5), enables customers to mix and match healthcare products, including all GSL and pharmacy-only medicines. However, normal legal and ethical restrictions will still apply, with patients encouraged to purchase a "mixed basket" rather than stocking up on one item.

The promotion will be supported by point-of-sale material in Boots branches, as well as a TV, press and digital advertising campaign. Boots UK director of healthcare, lifestyle and toiletries Annie Murphy said the offer would aim to encourage conversations between customers and pharmacy teams. |
"We believe that access to quality information, professional support, products and services is vital for empowering and motivating people to feel confident and in control of their health," she said.
Boots said the offer had been developed in response to customer feedback and stressed that it should not lead to customers attempting to stockpile medicines.
"Our research gave us confidence, as we discovered that the majority of our customers were already aware of the restrictions that apply to certain products, so we are confident the promotion will be used in the right way," explained Boots UK head of healthcare marketing Helen Jeremiah.
The comments were echoed by Boots UK superintendent pharmacist Paul Bennett who stressed the importance of a professional service in conjunction with the offer.
He explained that Boots pharmacy teams had undertaken refresher training in medicines protocols prior to the launch. "Maintaining our professional duty to ensure that customers receive the right information and advice to help them make safe and appropriate decisions lies at the heart of our thinking," Mr Bennett said.
