Actavis adds riluzole tablets to generics range
Generics manufacturer Actavis has launched riluzole film-coated tablets as the first drug in its portfolio to help manage motor neurone disease.
The product was launched in October on day one of patent expiry and is indicated to "extend the life or the time to mechanical ventilation for patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis".
Actavis said the product demonstrated its commitment to offer products across "a wide variety of therapy areas".
The tablets are supplied in a 50mg dose and a pack of 56 costs £75.92.
