Docusol Paediatric helps with constipation in infants and children
Docusol Paediatric can help with the management of constipation in infants and children aged between six months old and 12 years of age, according to the manufacturer.
Manufacturer Typharm said that the pharmacy (P) medicine – which contains the active ingredient docusate sodium – is not classified as a stimulant laxative and has almost no stimulant action.
The sugar-free medicine is taken by mouth and can be mixed with drinks such as juices or milk, the manufacturer added.
Docusol Paediatric works by retaining moisture in the stool from the bowel, making stools easier to pass, the manufacturer explained.
One 125ml bottle of Docusol Paediatric retails at £7.99.
