EM Pharma launches Nasofed antiviral spray to offer ‘extra’ protection against viruses
Manufacturer EM Pharma has launched an antiviral spray to offer an “extra layer of protection” against seasonal viruses and coronaviruses.
When used, the liquid contained in the Nasofed Anti Viral Nasal Spray is transformed “into a thin, soft and long-lasting protective film on the nasal mucosa surface, creating an effective barrier against virus particles, while delivering an accurate dose of broad spectrum anti-viral ingredients”, according to the manufacturer.
The antiviral spray provides four hours of protection with each application, the manufacturer claimed, and it is suitable for adults and children over one year of age.
Nasofed Anti Viral Nasal Spray has not been tested against COVID-19, and therefore does not make claims to prevent it, the manufacturer stressed.
The Nasofed range also includes Nasofed Saline Nasal Spray, which provides relief from nasal congestion due to colds, hay fever, allergies and dry nasal passage.
One 10ml bottle of Nasofed Anti Viral Nasal Spray retails at £6.99. Meanwhile, Nasofed Saline Nasal Spray – available in 15ml and 100ml – retails respectively at £3.49 and £5.49.
