C+D Salary Survey 2021 launches – with your chance to win a Fortnum & Mason hamper
The C+D Salary Survey 2021 has launched today (November 26), giving community pharmacy professionals the chance to shine a light on what it's really like to work in the sector right now.
The survey, which will close on December 23, takes less than 10 minutes to complete and asks questions about pay and working conditions across community pharmacy – including locum rates, unpaid overtime and stress in the workplace.
Respondents can opt in to be entered into a prize draw, where one lucky winner will take home a Fortnum & Mason hamper worth £100. There are also 10 £20 Just Eat vouchers up for grabs.
Salary Survey 2020 results
Results from the Salary Survey 2020 revealed the areas of the country that had the highest and lowest average locum rates in 2020, as well as how demand for locum cover fluctuated over the year.
The survey results also showed that the average non-pharmacist manager salary had slightly increased compared to the previous year and that the pressures of COVID-19 had wreaked havoc with pharmacy teams' stress levels.
Meanwhile, contractor respondents to the survey told C+D that their stress levels were through the roof, with one respondent reporting having suffered a minor heart attack.
Tell us your experiences
C+D editor Beth Kennedy said: "Since 2008, C+D's annual Salary Survey has been gathering data from the community pharmacy workforce about their pay and working conditions.
"Over the years, we've been able to uncover plummeting locum rates, compare working conditions at the big multiples, and even take concerns about mounting workplace pressures all the way to parliament.
"So, please take 10 short minutes to tell us what it's been like to work in pharmacy in 2021, and help us bring attention to the biggest issues affecting the community pharmacy workforce this year."
