Rowlands introduces booking software in bid to save pharmacists time
Rowlands has launched a new booking and management software across 400 pharmacies, which it believes will help save pharmacy teams time.
The HasHealth software lets teams “schedule, manage, and communicate with patients easily online”, the chain said in a statement yesterday (August 17).
The platform can be used to book clinical services such as flu and travel vaccinations, it added.

HasHealth also offers integrated pre-screen forms, which Rowlands believes can save up to 15 minutes in clinic per appointment. It allows pharmacy teams to create waiting lists for services and check the pharmacists’ availability against an electronic services diary.
Rowlands managing director Nigel Swift said: “The software provides management flexibility to our staff and the white-label option was perfect because it allowed us to keep customers under our own brand.”
Integration with Hey Pharmacist coming soon
Following the introduction of HasHealth across the chain’s branches, Numark – which sits under the Phoenix UK group alongside Rowlands – will now work to integrate it with its repeat prescription service app Hey Pharmacist, managing director Jeremy Meader said.
“This would allow our patients and customers to book services in their participating Hey Pharmacist Numark pharmacy and give Numark members access to the time-saving benefits,” Mr Meader added.

HasHealth claims that it can save 20 hours of pharmacists’ time a week “by automating patient communication and clinical data capture”.
Phoenix UK acquired the Co-op health platform and then rebranded it to Hey Pharmacist in 2021.
In an exclusive interview with C+D earlier this year, Mr Swift revealed plans to introduce an over-the-counter service on the app to enable patients to purchase products seamlessly.
