Pharmacy2U appoints new CEO
Former Walgreens Boots Alliance executive board director Kevin Heath has been named the new CEO of Pharmacy2U, he has revealed.
Mr Heath made the announcement in a post on LinkedIn today (November 18).
He has previously held senior positions at Boots' parent company Walgreens Boots Alliance, including acting as an executive board director and commercial trading director.
Mr Heath held several positions with Boots prior to the multiple's acquisition by US-based pharmacy company Walgreens in 2015.
He was general manager of international retail at Boots' Thailand arm between 2005 and 2007, before taking on head of trading at Boots UK until August 2015.
A Pharmacy2U spokesperson confirmed that Mark Livingstone stepped down as Pharmacy2U CEO this week and has been replaced by Mr Heath.
"Kevin joins the business with over 20 years experience in pharmacy [and] he is very much looking forward to leading the Pharmacy2U business through its next phase of growth," the spokesperson added.
Last September, Pharmacy2U reported "dramatically improved" financial results for the 2020/21 financial year.
The online pharmacy’s profit before tax stood at £100,000 in the financial year ending March 31, 2021, compared to losses amounting to £7.2 million in 2020.
