After receiving numerous submissions to a writing competition that launched last year, C+D has whittled it down to three finalists who have the chance of becoming the next Xrayser.
From today (March 27) readers will have the chance to vote for their favourite writer, with voting closing on April 13.
The entrant with the most votes will be sworn in as the next blogger to write under the notorious Xrayser pseudonym, although – in keeping with tradition – their true identity will remain a mystery.

C+D opened a writing competition to find a new star blogger in May, asking entrants to produce a short, compelling and light-hearted article detailing their experience of community pharmacy.
After almost a decade of writing for C+D, the previous holder of the Xrayser moniker decided to pass their pen over to a new writer.
So C+D put in motion a competition across the UK to find a successor, open to all regardless of race, gender or ethnicity.

C+D’s editor Beth Kennedy said: “C+D would like to thank our previous Xrayser, who for over a decade provided readers with side-splitting blogs highlighting the ups and downs of life in community pharmacy.
“We’ve had a blast reading through entries from those who want to replace him and couldn’t decide who was the best person to pick up the Xrayser mantle.
“So, over to you, our readers. Tell us who you think should become our new anonymous blogger by voting for the entry you think best describes life in community pharmacy, or simply the one that makes you chuckle the most.”
