Nuumad launches travel health platform for pharmacists and IPs
A new pharmacy services provider has launched a travel health consultation platform promising to shorten consultation times to 20 minutes.
Nuumad, which launched on June 19 with support from Innovate UK and Innovate UK Edge, can be used by pharmacists, independent prescribers (IPs) and nurses, the provider said.
The platform promises to cut consultation times to just 20 minutes thanks to an “ultra user-friendly interface”.
According to Nuumad, the platform can “support complex vaccine scheduling [and] ethical vaccine selection with clear patient risk profiles based on travel activities”. Meanwhile, vaccine selecton and vaccinations are “supported by patient group direction- (PGD-) based decision-guiding algorithms”, it said.
The platform also includes “comprehensive travel advice” and cheat sheets, which help users “refresh their memories about any diseases, vaccines or countries at a glance”, Nuumad said.
Nuumad said: “We have developed our platform listening to the needs of pharmacists, nurses, independent prescribers, private clinics and even travel health experts, and put their requirements at the core of our product.”
The subscription-based payment model ranges from £85-£95 a month per user, including access to a full set of travel health PGDs created by Nuumad partners ECG Health.
Nuumad is offering a second user for free for 12 months for all new purchases as part of a launch promotion available until the end of summer, it said.
