Three online pharmacies have been named in the Sunday Times’ list of the 100 fastest-growing tech companies in the UK.

The ranking, published last week, revealed that digital pharmacies Phlo, Evaro and HeliosX were among the top 50 on the league table for software companies.

The Times said the annual sales growth of each company was averaged over three years.

Glasgow-based Phlo ranked 13th on the list, with sales of £23.1m in 2025 and a growth of 180.14% per year.

Norwich company Evaro, which ranked 29th, saw £12.1m in revenue last year and an annual growth of 109.72%.

And HeliosX, which has offices in Leamington Spa and at its US pharmacy in Florida, ranked 42nd. The company’s latest sales stand at £178.4m and its average annual growth was 88.36%.

Of the three pharmacies, only Evaro is currently in profit, the Times said.

Pharmacy partnerships

Evaro announced in October that it had partnered with period tracking app Clue to provide “seamless access to NHS-funded contraception directly through Clue’s app”.

It followed adult toy and lingerie business Lovehoney becoming “the first retailer” to offer a free, fully online NHS contraception service in May as part of its partnership with Evaro.

And supermarket chain Morrisons partnered with digital pharmacy Phlo last January to launch the “Morrisons Clinic”, an “online private prescription service” that delivers customers’ medicine in as little as 24 hours.

Meanwhile, digital health company MedPal AI has revealed that it is using artificial intelligence (AI) to “identify” users “who may benefit” from weight loss treatments.

The company announced the launch of “direct AI integration” between its consumer health app MedPal and its online pharmacy MedPal Clinic earlier this month, and said it believes the move is “a UK-first”.
