Police release footage of knife-wielding robber
An individual in a motorcycle helmet threatened staff to obtain controlled drugs from a Rowlands Pharmacy last month, say Lancashire Police
Police have released images of an armed robber who stole codeine and morphine from a Lancashire pharmacy.
The man, wearing a motorcycle helmet and carrying a "large knife", threatened staff at a Rowlands Pharmacy on Dingle Road, Upholland at 5pm on Monday February 16, Lancashire Police said on Friday (March 27).
He demanded medicines from the controlled drugs safe, which staff handed over in a carrier bag before the robber fled the pharmacy, police said.
The individual was described as at least 30 years old, at least 6ft tall and “of a stocky build”, police said. He spoke with a northern or Lancashire accent, they said.
Detective Michael Mason of Skelmersdale CID said it was “vital” for anyone who recognised the man’s motorcycle helmet or had any other information relating to the robbery to contact the police.
