Lloydspharmacy names Kevin Birch as new CEO
Lloydspharmacy has named Kevin Birch – the chief retail officer at its parent company McKesson UK – as its new CEO, following three years in his current post.
Mr Birch has over 30 years of experience in retail, having previously held senior positions at Walgreens Boots Alliance – the parent company of Lloydspharmacy rival Boots.
Following his time at Walgreens Boots Alliance, Mr Birch was CEO at the Avicenna pharmacy group.

As Lloydspharmacy CEO, he will head up the multiple's retail business, including MASTA Travel and the healthcare services division.
It follows the departure of former McKesson CEO Toby Anderson in May after almost four years in the post.
Private equity firm Aurelius Group completed the acquisition of McKesson UK in early April 7.
Mr Birch said he was "delighted" to be taking on his new role. "I look forward to working with our colleagues on creating a new future for Lloydspharmacy," he commented.
