The move sees Pharmacy2U partner with retail accreditation MTick

Pharmacy2U has launched a new “dedicated” women’s health hub offering products, education and support “to help people navigate signs of menopause”, it announced today.

The UK’s largest online pharmacy said the digital hub brings hundreds of certified menopause-friendly products, “organised by common signs”, to more than a million women across Britain.

The move also sees Pharmacy2U partner with MTick, a retail accreditation that confirms products have been independently assessed as menopause-friendly.

Pharmacy2U said that alongside “curated product ranges” including supplements, skincare, intimate health and everyday essentials, the hub “also provides education and guidance around the 48 recognised signs of menopause”.

And it is the “first time” an online-only pharmacy in the UK has “embedded an end-to-end menopause support and education journey directly into its shopping and healthcare experience”, it added.

“Best-in-class”

Pharmacy2U head of digital services Melanie King said the company is “committed to helping [its] patients and customers better manage their health and wellbeing through accessible, trusted support”.

She added that partnering with GenM, the accreditation body behind MTick, allows Pharmacy2U to “bring together a comprehensive menopause-friendly offering in one place, alongside educational resources that empower women to make informed choices about the products and support available to them”.

And GemM CEO and co-founder Heather Jackson said Pharmacy2U “is leading the way in menopause support by bringing pharmacy, education and product discovery together in one trusted, easy-to-navigate destination”.

“It’s a brilliant example of what best-in-class menopause retail looks like.”

It comes after a new report developed with several pharmacy bodies said community pharmacy should be empowered to become a “first port of call” for menopause advice and signposting.

The report, published last month, called for “government action” on menopause care that includes raising public awareness of pharmacy’s expertise and making sure the sector is “adequately equipped” with funding.
