Pharmacy2U last week (July 17) revealed a “comprehensive rebrand” as it celebrates “25 years of innovation and service alongside the NHS”.

It said that the “new brand identity” – including a “bold new logo, vibrant colour palette and a more human tone of voice” - mark a “new chapter in its mission to give patients more control of their healthcare”.

This is designed to reflect its “evolution” from e-prescriptions to “holistic healthcare” and be a “strategic step in unifying the company’s growing portfolio following recent acquisitions”, it added.

Founded in 1999, Pharmacy2U has expanded to include digital GP consultations, NHS services, over-the-counter (OTC) products, pet pharmacy and wellness tools, it said.

Pharmacy2U chief executive Kevin Heath said that the online pharmacy’s “purpose to place greater control in the hands of patients has never been more relevant” with the NHS 10-year plan putting “digital-first, preventative, community-based healthcare at its heart”.

“It’s important that we have a brand that reflects our position as a modern, expert and innovative leader, at the forefront of that mission - our new look and feel, colours and logo do just that,” he added.

The online pharmacy last month announced the launch of a new medication “stock checker” tool to allow patients to check drug availability when ordering their NHS prescriptions online.

And in February, it revealed the launch of an app combining pharmacy, online GP consultations, NHS, vet, health and wellbeing services into a “single platform”.
