“This year’s campaign reimagines the classic fairytale for today’s customer, following feline protagonist Puss,” the health and beauty giant said.

“Faced with the challenge of finding last-minute gifts ahead of the Snow Queen’s Ball, [he] turns to his trusty mirror for advice,” it continued.

“This sets him on a journey from snowy fairytale land to a bustling UK high street, on a quest to find the ultimate Christmas beauty gifts for his beloved friends Rapunz, Snowy, Cinders and Prince Charming,” it said.

An Instagram post about the furry feline also today informed customers that Puss in Boots is “on a purr-fectly festive adventure” in one the health and beauty giant’s stores.

Boots backlash

It comes after Boots received backlash from Didcot residents last July for banning a famous feline dubbed “Puss in Boots” from one of its branches in the name of “health and safety”.

Willow the cat – who has a Facebook fan page with almost 7,000 members – was seen at the time “being escorted out of Boots” on multiple occasions by a group member.

“So sad - it’s his favourite shop,” they wrote on the fan page at the time.

And another avid feline follower said that “this sort of thing makes my blood boil” – urging the multiple to “sort it out”.

Others, however, were less fazed by the decision with one follower asking Boots managers to “please focus on the important things, like increasing pharmacy staff”.
