It comes after Tesco’s preliminary results for 2025/26, published on April 16, revealed that its pharmacies issued more than 17 million prescriptions over the same period.

It comes after Tesco announced in February that it had partnered with the British Heart Foundation to highlight its pharmacies’ blood pressure service.

The chain said it will offer “free walk-in and pre-booked 10‑minute” tests “carried out in private consultation rooms”, with pharmacy staff guiding customers “towards the appropriate next steps or support” if a raised reading is detected.
