Funding provider Shawbrook Pharmacy Finance has launched a “comprehensive” funding package for contractors, it has announced.

The Elements package, which launched this month, includes a loan of up to 70% of a pharmacy’s value that can be extended for up to 10 years, and paid back early with no penalty, the company said.

It also offers upfront payments for dispensed items, creating “cash-flow certainty” for contractors, it said. These can be received daily, weekly or monthly in advance of NHS dispensing payment, said Sebastian Miles, Shawbrook Pharmacy Finance healthcare and pharmacy manager (pictured right).

The new package is “geared specifically” towards independent pharmacists, the company added.
