Rowlands broken into for £150 of electric toothbrushes
Thieves broke into a Rowlands pharmacy in Margate, Kent and stole electric toothbrushes in the early hours of Saturday (August 5), the multiple has confirmed.
A Rowlands spokesperson said “a few electric toothbrushes”, with an approximate value of £150 were stolen.
"The premises were secured and police arrived to take forensic evidence”, Rowlands told C+D. "A full review of security measures will be undertaken."
No staff were present, but Rowlands said "support will be offered to any member of staff who feels that they need it".
There was no interruption of service as the branch does not open on a Saturday morning, Rowlands added.
A Kent Police spokesperson said the incident is being investigated, and confirmed a phone call was received reporting a burglary at the pharmacy at 2.37am.
“At present no arrests have been made, however enquiries are ongoing,” they said.
