Headlice treatment gets TV campaign for the new term
Headlice treatment manufacturer Vamousse has announced the launch of a national television campaign ahead of the start of the new school term.
The campaign, which will run from December 29 for five weeks, will be supported by a Wild West game app for children to play on a smartphone while the treatment is applied. Vamousse said it could not reveal how much it had spent on the campaign.
January was one of the most prevalent seasons for headlice as children returned to school, Vamousse said. This meant it was important for pharmacists to be fully stocked with the “next generation” of headlice treatments, it said.
Vamousse was proven to kill all headlice and eggs within 15 minutes of contact, which meant there was no need for the treatment to be reapplied, the manufacturer claimed.
Vamousse used “breakthrough technology” to kill headlice by dissolving their waxy exoskeleton, which led to water loss and a quick death by dehydration, it added.
Vamousse Headlice Treatment retails at £14.99 and Vamousse Protective Shampoo at £9.99.
