C+D named Digital Editorial Team of 2018 at online publishing awards
C+D has been named Digital Editorial Team of the Year in the business-to-business category at the leading digital publishing awards.
The team received the trophy at the Association for Online Publishing (AOP) Digital Publishing Awards in London last night (June 27).
Explaining their decision, the AOP judges said: “C+D had a difficult task with the closure of the established print title, going it alone digitally and rising above the competition.”
“The team’s sharp focus on the issues their readers care about and innovative editorial initiatives gained huge traction, driving the conversation in their sector with authority and growing revenue.
“A successful editorial and business transition,” they added.
The judges also highly commended James Waldron in the Digital Editor of the Year category, while C+D’s key account manager Dan Linton was shortlisted for Digital Sales Person of the Year and the C+D audience development team for Audience Development Team of the Year.
The latest win comes a week after C+D news editor Grace Lewis was awarded the Medical Journalists’ Association Award for News Story of the Year, and a month after Mr Waldron received the Macpherson New Editor trophy at the British Society of Magazine Editors' talent awards.
