Pfizer has reported its Depo-Medrone (methylprednisolone acetate) 2ml injection (2ml x10) and its Depo-Medrone with Lidocaine 2ml injection will be out of stock from next week.

Supplies of the rheumatoid arthritis medicine have run out because of manufacturing issues, but should be back in stock by mid-August, the manufacturer said.

Pharmacists should contact Pfizer's customer contact centre on 08456 088 866 for any supply queries. Medical queries should be directed to the manufacturer's medical information department on 01304 616 161.

"We regret any inconvenience caused by this and advise patients or carers concerned about this situation or any aspect of their medication to contact their clinicians for further advice," Pfizer said.
