More reports for C+D stock shortage campaign

Sort out stocks The number of cases of supply problems and incidents of patient distress reported via C+D’s interactive tool has this week reached 117

Pharmacies across the UK continue to provide evidence of stock shortages, with 117 cases of supply problems and incidents of patient distress reported since C+D's interactive tool was launched in August. Examples included a patient battling with Parkinson's who had to miss a day of his medication because his pharmacy had exceeded its quota

C+D is building up a dossier of evidence to present to pharmacy minister Earl Howe after he called on pharmacists to prove stock shortages were harming patients. Take advantage of our resources by October 12 and we will take your evidence to the government.

A patient had suffered low harm as a result, it said. ● Greasby Pharmacy in Greasby, Wirral, reported two incidents on the same day – it could not get hold of Cialis for erectile dysfunction or Symbicort for asthma.
