Thieves stole methadone tablets and ADHD medication from the controlled drugs cabinet at Elland Pharmacy in Elland, West Yorkshire after breaking into the building between 11pm on Saturday (January 17) and 10am on Sunday, West Yorkshire Police said on Sunday.
Inspector John Simpson urged the public to report any drugs found discarded or "offered for sale on the streets".
Anyone who had seen anything suspicious in the area on the night of the burglary should contact police on 101 quoting crime log 458 of January 18, West Yorkshire Police said. The public could alternatively contact Crimestoppers anonymously by calling 0800 555 111, police added.
